In accordance with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Water Quality - TopicsExpress

In accordance with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Water Quality policies, Drake Springs Recreation Pool is closed due to a diaherral incident. This procedure is based on guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and City Health Department. The guidelines state when a diarrheal incident occurs we substantially elevate the chlorine levels and keep them at this level for a recommended duration of time in order to properly disinfect the water to ensure the water is safe for all patrons. Fortunately, the three bodies of water at Drake Springs run on different filter systems, which will allow us to keep the lazy river and lap pool open. Drake Springs Recreation Pool is anticipated to open on Friday, June 28 at 1 p.m.
