In almost every situation where a person enters our life, it either serves as our self-improvement, their self-improvement, or both. Although some of lifes experiences are painful and some are good, our stubborn, grass is greener on the other side of the fence, human nature usually requires that which is painful to steer us back onto that better road less traveled. When we are back on that road, what is in front of us might look like desert; however, God can make gardens out of deserts and deserts out of gardens based on our faith, obedience, and gratefulness; or lack thereof. So what should we do? We should learn from and/or treasure the past while at the same time, enjoying the present, and investing in our future by making wise choices, developing and maintaining a positive outlook, trusting and obeying God, and being grateful for what we have and His unmerited merciful interventions and His unfailing love.
