In amongst all of the political posts and funny kitty and puppy pics and silly inspirational stuff that I post some of you may have noticed a number of posts pushing solar energy on my page. Not only do I promote sustainable and renewable resources on facebook, but I am in the process of equipping my medicine show trailer to run all of my shows on solar generated power. That is sound, lights, everything. Right now the breakdown of my power requirements is as follows: (4) LED RGBW Par 64 lights (That is a theatrical wash light that has red, green, blue and white LEDs) @ 20w/light = 80w for lighting, (1) Yamaha Stagepas PA @ 65w, (1) Toshiba laptop computer running sound and lights @ 65W (when running on AC power) and (1) LED overhead light inside trailer @ 9.5 W for a total power consumption running everything full on of 219.5 W. I may add another 3 or 4 of the RGBW LED Par cans and have thought about running my electric cooler but have not yet checked its power consumption. Still I will very soon be the SECOND all solar medicine show in the world and FIRST solar bubble show in the world! As always, a tip of the hat to the FIRST ALL SOLAR MEDICINE SHOW in the world, Dr. Solars Medicine Show for inspiration and for being out there showing the world that solar power is not some far off goal, but is attainable right now.
