In an instant, a fire can kill, maim, and destroy our dearest possessions. This week, the CAL FIRE Marysville Fire Department received federal funds to buy new and much needed firefighting equipment to protect residents of the area from this harm. They will purchase a water tender, specialized apparatus designed for transporting water from a water source (such as a stream, lake, or hydrant) to a fire scene. They are commonly used in rural areas. Congrats to the Department for their initiative and skill in applying for this grant. Thank you to all firefighters for your bravery in risking your lives to protect the life and limbs of strangers.
