In another couple of weeks, itll be that time of year again! My favorite Christmas movie, by far and away, is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Another couple of weeks and its likely to be playing on TV as often as Christmas music will be on the radio. This is what I feel to be the funniest scene in the movie. Anticipating the arrival of his Christmas bonus check from his employer, which for some reason seems much later than usual this year, it final makes its way to the Griswold home--or so Clark thinks. Such relief, joy, and happiness when he gets the envelope as he breaks the news about building the swimming pool, even (or perhaps ESPECIALLY) when Eddie says he cant swim! And when he opens the envelope . . . such OUTRAGE and ANGER!!! Clarks boss must have been real desperate to save money to do something so heartless! Why would Clark blow his stack over something small like this? His family had the perfect Christmas! All the had to deal with was forgetting to bring a saw to cut down a Christmas tree in the woods, getting his car stuck under a semi and crashing off the road, eating a burnt turkey for dinner, having the cat electrocuted in the living room, among other mishaps.
