In case you missed it - news for small farmers and local and regional food systems! On Tuesday, grant recipients were announced for research focused on the challenges and profitability of small and medium-sized family farms, plus how these farms can impact local and regional food systems. From Idaho to Vermont, over $7 million was awarded for innovative research. (And a big congratulations to NSAC member Michigan State Universitys Center for Regional Food Systems, awarded funding for projects on food hubs and local markets for meat and livestock!)
