In church last night we watched the saddest film. It was entitled Are You A Fan Of A Follower of Jesus. It brought back sad memories of my husbands death. In the film a womans husband suffered a massive heart attack. None of the family knew how to do CPR and his brain was without oxygen too long before they got help. He was brain dead so they had to take him off of life support. I had a similar situation. My husband got cancer. He had surgery to remove the tumor in his stomach which removed half of his stomach and the lower third of his esophagus. He developed a massive lung infection as a complication from the surgery. The doctor gave his 6 months to live if he was able to recover from the surgery. My husband did want any further surgery or measures taken to prolong his life. We had to make him a no code which meant if he stopped breathing and his heart stopped, no measures would be made to bring him back. This brought all the pain of going through this experience all over again. I was tearful. I was a 31 year old woman with 2 children to raise on my own with no father. It was a rough part of my life that tested my faith.
