In collaboration with AUS AID and GEP and private donors: providing legal aid and fighting for enhancement of implementation of acid and burn crime bill to rpomore women rights. 1) Mother and 9 years old child case: ASF now demanding for investigation to be re-initiated, denouncing lack of proper investigation at first stage by police officials. Investigation procedure challenged. 2) Nowshera case: victim now in secure place for treatment and rehab, FIR registered immediately. 72 hours after the attack, ASF ED meeting with IDG legal Peshawar showing that the FIR had been registered under the wrong law (attempt of murder) instead of section 336 A and B of PPC. demanding immediate action and correction of FIR. OUTCOME: IDG legal Peshawar and Punjab will examine ASF proposition to launch a joint awareness campaign on criminal law amendment act 2011, notification process to be verified, corrected and enhanced, verification of content of Major Act Book 2013. Nowshera case FIR corrected, investigation enhanced as culprit fled. other IDGs legal in other provinces to be met along with other government departments.
