In fact, despite the rhetoric of Choudary, Britain First and the EDL, and efforts by Demotix photojournalists to talk up events to sell their photos, most of the hundreds of Muslims coming out of the large Regents Park Mosque (capacity over 5,000) after Friday prayers, apparently simply passed quietly by the three above groups pens, each containing a small number of their supporters and protesters. There were a few arrests, one of a Britain First protester who assaulted a policeman, according to the independent photojournalist organisation, Demotix, photos. Plus one Muslim? Britain Firsts e-mail after the event, laughably and pathetically, said as below. It has to be said that Demotix photos showed no bottles and stones raining down!. The surrounding seems to have consisted of muslims walking home peacefully along the street where the pens were. Neither can I find any tv or newspaper coverage, apart from the Demotix photos. As usual, it was just a very small number of religious fundamentalists and their equally small numbers of their BF and EDL opposite numbers (who appear to be rivals these days), taking advantage of the usual large numbers of (peaceful) Friday worshippers exiting the mosque to suggest to the world at large that there was enormous protest and conflict. Today, Anjem Choudary, Abu Izzadeen and other hate preachers were to hold a protest outside the Regents Park Mosque. As usual, despite the vicinity of the mosque, Britain First activists turned up to confront them. As expected, hundreds of Muslims poured out of the mosque and outnumbered our activists by a huge margin. There were literally thousands of Muslims compared with just under 100 patriotic activists. It was a modern version of Rorkes Drift and the Muslims soon surrounded the assembled patriots Bottles and stones rained down on our activists, surrounded on all sides - they even got pelted from the surrounding buildings that were occupied by Muslim residents. Nevertheless, we stood firm and did not budge an inch. To the contrary, we hurled the national anthem, Christian hymns and speeches back at the Muslim horde that was only 15 feet away. It was a truly remarkable feat of British bulldog spirit, grit and determination. Today was a watershed in the inexorable march of the Britain First movement. Britain First featured on the ITV evening news and elsewhere. People across the political spectrum are starting to take notice of Britain First as our credibility, support base and media coverage grows. Well done to everyone who showed true bravery today.
