I may not look too good for my television special tonight, but Ill look good in my coffin. It was also as though Elvis had to look his worst for that last documented TV appearance. He appears so padded that he cannot bend, whereas, five days later, in the same sundial suit, his clothes were loose. In this TV special his face was ashen and bloated. Elvis told people, America will see me at my worst. Five days later his face is tanned and slim, he is agile and limber, bending with ease. I believe Elvis needed to look bad in that last televised concert so people would believe the news stories that he had died.
