In lieu of a big birthday party with friends, we gave Sarah a special day yesterday where we spent most of the day with just her. We let her pick her own present, then she picked out Peace, Love, & Pizza for lunch, and Sparkles Skating rink for her activity. It was so nice and so much fun! (John and I realized only child parents have it soooo easy!) It was great not to have to chase around Cam and Abbie, and the experience was actually fun for a change and I wasnt ready to go home after 30 minutes like usual. We stayed for 2.5 hours and would have stayed longer but they closed early on Sunday! Skating was really enjoyable and it didnt hurt that I got great total body exercise as I skated nearly the entire time. (Im sore all over today and have a busted knee from the one wipe out I had right before we left....but it was worth it!) Most of all, it was really wonderful to get to focus all of our attention on Sarah. She was soooo happy...and milked it all day. :)
