In life, each and everything that we do does indeed make a difference. Each and every action, each and every word that we speak, each and ever thought that we think will in some way change things for you, your world and the world of those that are connected to you. As a parent, we know this better than any other does. All of these have touched our children. We have grown. We have learned from our mistakes and improved our being because of our children. One of the things we have tried to impart upon our children is that as we navigate life is that we leave consequences in our wake. The nature of these consequences makes up the quality of our lives. The small things add up to some awesome influences. The greatest influence we have in life is our children. They have learned from us, they have grown into awesome individuals because of us. One day the time comes when they move on and pave the way in their own life. It is a very hard thing at times but we must have faith in what we have given them and trust them. As a parent, we must always continue to be the island of refuge for them in life. When this time comes in our lives we change yet again. We feel empty at times, we feel lonely and as time passes, we cope and make changes in our lives to fill the void. We reconnect with our spouses and fall in love again. We do things that we had once put on hold. In doing this we teach our children even more without even know it. We teach them that we go one and that life is what we each make of it. We teach them that we never stop growing or taking challenges in life. We teach them that is okay to make mistakes and to learn from them and to improve in life. When we reach this point, in life let us not dread it but let us greet it with an open heart and mind. Let us move through the changes gracefully and know that what we have done in life for our children is worth everything on earth and know that in the end that they are will be just fine.
