In light of recent events, I feel that I am forced to make the following public statement. I Clive Leslie Hendrickse and my business Guerrilla Events are in no way, shape or form affiliated or associated with Brandon KM Hunter and/or any of his past, present or future endevours. My reasoning behind this statement is as follows. I refuse to play party to or be involved in any in-fighting, personal agendas, industry politics and public smeer campaigns. As this is not conducive to mine or my companys goals. I have removed and banned Brandon from the group S.A. Metal Community. As Brandons behaviour and lack of etiquette could no longer be tolerated. These traits contradict the ideals of the group. In no attempt to belittle anyones name. It is my ardent conviction that Brandon has publically, falsely claimed the intellectual property of creating the group and its concept. I, myself claim no such intellectual rights even as the groups creator. As the concept of uniting toward a common cause is as old as the very first uprising. I have publically and privately informed members and admins of the group that it is their group. To do with as they please within the realms of common decency and fair practise. With that being said I feel I must mention that late in the year of 2008 a mass meeting was held at The Boston Rock Lounge between various facets of the Johannesburg Rock/Metal/Alternative music industry. This meeting was held regarding a platform on which and an organisation with which the S.A. Metal Music Business Industry could unite and firstly, regulate an unstable club economy and subsequently, not only create a better environment for promoters and other culturally based businesses to operate in, but to become contenders on the world stage. My facts and references can be verified by the following individuals: Musa Mntambo Andrea Adrianzen Niven Povey Hennie Koch Gert Koch Vaughan Richards (Not present at meeting but can verify its proceedings) Liesl Mntambo and Vaughan Richards who have been instramental in the inner workings of our industry have been made victims of public slander and belittlement, that borders dangerously close onto a smeer campaign. This behaviour I simply will not tolerate. To all that have taken the time to read this and consider its contents, I thank you. Clive
