In light of the WHO declaring the Ebola outbreak in West Africa as a public health emergency of international concern and the continuing loss of life in the four involved countries including that of nurses and other health care workers, ICN wishes to send a message of continued support to those providing health care in these countries and our condolences to those who have been most affected. The ICN acknowledges and applauds the courageous work of the nurses and other healthcare workers in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria during this tragic outbreak. We continue to monitor and discuss the situation with our colleagues within the WHO.
