In light of the recent event in Rolla today involving the Ground - TopicsExpress

In light of the recent event in Rolla today involving the Ground truck,I have to say, many people have the misconception that trucks cause entirely too many accidents. Truth is,its a small percentage of accidents that are caused by trucks, and even a smaller percentage involving trucks from the company I work for. The misconception is magnified by the fact that the company I work for has over 30,000 trucks on the road, and, that company brand is a household name. For instance,if it were say,Jumbobs transportation, society wouldnt think twice. We drivers are professionals in our field, like NFL and MLB players or famous actors, musicians, pilots, and doctors. I challenge anybody who thinks the requirements of this profession are just being a warm body,to go to your local DMV and take the CDL general knowledge,combination,tanker,double/triples,passenger,and Hazmat test. You will fail miserably. The federal, state, and local laws and regulations we as professional drivers have to know is worthy of at minimum,an associates degree. So,if you took the time to read all of this, the next time you pass a truck, think of it as an honor that you get to share the road with such great professionals. ccjdigital/80-percent-of-car-truck-crashes-caused-by-car-drivers-ata-report-says/
