In my opinion this meme gets to the heart of the problem. It is unpatriotic and practically immoral for the very Companies that benefit from the military protection, judicial system, regulatory protocols and stability (dispite challenges) that make the US a 1st world LEADER to not pay their fair share. Is it 32%, perhaps we can discuss that but CLEARLY 10% average and some paying NOTHING? The Supreme Court ruled that Corporations are People. People (actual individuals) pay their fair share of taxes and so should Corporations. That is just common sense and would enable our Federal Government to continue to be effective. I know the argument that ALL Federal Government programs are BAD exists and I call BS on those who espouse it. Of course, if you think our form of Government has problems, get involved to FIX it. The GOP used to be full of leaders who worked to IMPROVE government not effectively destroy it. We should ALWAYS be looking for better ways to accomplish the things government is required to accomplish. We should celebrate that our form of Government has successfully weathered the storm. If the US firms paid their fair share, the Debt and Deficit would be shrinking, government would be on a firmer footing and our standing would improve in the world. Anyone who thinks we can simply cut our way to reduced the debt is deluding themselves
