In my own little research as a Master-research student, I discovered reasons why the major problems of this country are lingering on; it is as a result of failure of some christians and some elites to be involved in tackling the issues; instead they are laid back and pointing accusing fingers and apportioning blames. Moslems are better involved! The christians are among the real people who can definitely vote their consciences and make the needed change; but they are nowhere to be found! Christians are the light of the world, yes, but prayers and faith without (decisive actions towards achieving successes in life) is failure! From the christians overview, you will hear something like partisan politics is a dirty game, so they stay aloof. You wonder their thou art holy attitude. People steal offerings in churches and rob God of their tithes. They involve in all manners of dubious acts outside of the church. Is that not dirty? There is no error in trials, things get improved by practices, practices make perfection! If you dont want to get involved in partisan politics, is that an enough reason not to your get your voters card and get voted? You hear something like these: I dont have the time to waste and queue for any voters card or time to stand on the long queue to vote! The christians and elites are worst for it! Do you know why? They think they can afford basic things of life: they sink their bore-hole water so they arent consigned about running of public water , send their wards to private schools so they arent bothered about effective, efficient and qualitative public schools, get their own private security and less consigned about attitude and efficient of Nigeria Police Force, they fuel their generators and are never bothered about public power supply etc.. We must all be consigned with the effectiveness and efficiency of of all our public institutions! That is how to rate a nation, whether they are developed, developing and under-developed.I want to enlighten the ignorant christians and the I-dont-care elites, that we vote in two ways: if dont vote, you have already voted for people you dont want in power; and if you vote , you vote for people you want! A wise man once said, As long as wise people refuse to vote right persons into power, we (all) shall continue (to endure) the reins of idiots. We all need to sacrifice our time, get registered if you have not done so, collect your voters card, it does not matter how long it takes and take your time to vote ( It takes persistence to win the race of prominence in life), stay with your vote and get it counted, and make the change you want! - Ogunleye Peter Omowonuola
