In order to improve revenue collection, the Kitwe City Council has formed various committees to strategise the way forward in this sector. One of these committees is the Bus Station Commitee which has started going around all the bus stations in the city to ascertain the exact challenges that our cashiers face and the best ways to improve on the weaknesses. On 18th and 19th December 2014 respectively, the commiittee passed thruogh varoius stations where blue buses and Noah buses load from and observed that most of the buses operate without paying levies and the drivers for blue buses were later charged and the drivers were warned to pay each for each day to the asigned cashiers as it is the mandate to do so.
