In our continuing series on diet/lifestyle plans available, I received a request for more information on the Jillian Michaels Diet Plan. Most of us know Ms. Michaels from the hit show The Biggest Loser, but may not be aware of the number of books she has authored or the fitness empire surrounding the trainer. As a result, it is difficult to say there is just one Jillian Michaels Diet, so lets start with her website at jillianmichaels . A host of tools are available on this site (some for free, others available when you subscribe to her plan). Without actually subscribing to the site I had a bit of difficulty finding a current price for joining, but did receive an offer in my email to join free for the first 7 days and pay $3 per week after the initial trial period. As with most diet plans, the focus here is take in less calories than the body uses daily while ramping up activity level. Ms. Michaels also stresses eating organically and healthfully--and balancing hormone levels through sleep, diet and exercise. As would be expected, also, commitment must be high to incorporate this plan into your lifestyle as almost no packaged, convenience or fast foods are allowed. However, if you are looking for loads of tools (from recipes, access to Ms. Michaels online, workout videos, and an online community) offered by a world-class trainer with proven results and based on a nutritionally well-rounded plan for a comparatively low cost--this one may be for you.
