In our country it is becoming increasingly risky to question the philosophical and political substance and ramifications of multiculturalism and moral relativism because to do so is to foolishly open oneself up to being stigmatized as a racist, or a bigot, or xenophobic, or of being unreasonably judgemental, or all of the above. That may seem disheartening but heres the good news that some people dont want you to know. It is not racist nor ethnic hatred to express your opinion and question Orwellian madness and idiocracy. Its not foolish to speak your mind about the direction this country is going. On the contrary, it is wise and courageous. It is foolish and cowardly to allow yourself to be silenced by this tired and worn out political tactic of oppressively silencing questioning voices. Yes, such courage did cost Socrates, Jesus, Cicero and others like them, their very lives. Yes, for some people it did result in persecution and prosecution, even imprisonment. But such people really do live on, dont they? They live on in hearts and minds for they are renown as great philosophers, teachers, leaders, and true freedom fighters. Cowards do not. Bowing to political correctness is like inflicting a wound on ones self after being told to do so. Compliance with it is generally observable on a scale on which we can measure liberal cowardice on one end to independent and proudly outspoken free thinkers on the other. The cowards do not dare disagree. They would rather blend in with the compliant crowd. But the truly enlightened thinkers will always question every premise and attempt by totalitarians to silence free speech. Political correctness is a bondage of the mind - a shackling of intellect and individualism through an obscene effort by totalitarians to restrict and eliminate free speech and independent thought. Some are saying that its too late to do anything about it because its come too far and taken its toll on our society. I wholeheartedly reject that notion. It is never too late to speak the truth.
