In reply to someone who is bent on supporting YSRCP: These are sensitive issues concerning the people. One need to have the facts right before forming a opinion and sharing with others as they tend to mislead the many half knowledged folks. The chief contributor for todays GDP is IT other than farm produce. It is Mr.Naidu and the reforms he has undertaken till 2004, which resulted in Hyderabad as favoured destination for IT. IT was in a naive state to start contributing to per capita during Mr.Naidus regime. There was a severe drought for 4 consecutive years during Mr.Naidus regime unseen in the past (It was said that the last time such phenomenon occured was only 100 years ago). Such was the situation and without IT and Agriculture contributing, the GDP naturally had to take a dip. He took very bold and visionary steps to take the state forward. Think of the guts one would need to abolish various subsidies. This money goes from your pocket and my pocket and most often get landed into not so deserving candidates. He was for Good governance. He envisioned that if for few years we could work without subsidies, things will improve for everyone in AP, where the limited state fund could be put to rightful use. He was against free electricity, free loans etc. Does he become anti-farmer because of this foresight?. Would you not know of various initiatives he has taken to uplift the farmers, and the village in general?. Every step of his was very bold. Knowingly he took such steps for betterment of AP. Even if educated people like us fall into the political trap and support parties like YSRCP, whats the point? - Ravindra Musunuru
