In response to Kevin Sorbos - TopicsExpress

In response to Kevin Sorbos post: https://facebook/KevinSorbo/posts/809048709135197 Our government and so called leaders have created yet another successful prototype. His name? Kevin Sorbo. His rank? Brainwashed zombie. From slavery, to the civil rights movement, to the 21st century - local governments throughout the United States have instituted laws that punish those who unite with the other. If a devout Christian slave master was found to have committed fornication with a black woman, he was pardoned for his sins and Almighty God would forgive him. What about the woman? Well in the best case scenario, she would be allowed to live after being punished and humiliated in front of the entire town. The agenda: To make an example and instill fear to all who bare witness. Ask yourself, what did segregation and the infamous Jim Crow Laws seek to accomplish? Only forty seven years ago, after the Loving v. Virginia case, were all state anti-miscegenation laws declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. According to US Census Bureau 2010 data on Interracial Marriage patterns, interracial couples made up 8.78% of the married population. The other 91.22% were same-race couples. Please dont take my word for it, just take a look at Table FG3 in the US Census Bureau: census.gov/population/www/socdemo/hh-fam/cps2010.html For a country that embraces cultural diversity and claims to be tolerant of other peoples, these numbers provide an interesting perspective. Yes, I understand many religions dictate the sacred realm of marriage, but come on! Its the mainstream media being fed to society - brainwashing parents to brainwash their children into believing that a certain race is dangerous, violent, incapable of learning. In this country, the tension between black and white is center stage. In the backdrop, tension plays out between other minorities. But until we understand whats really going on, were ALL victims no matter what color or creed. Professor Jane Elliot demonstrates how the system works in this experiment: youtu.be/-pv8mCHbOrs First and foremost, I am letting out my frustration and concern on Facebook because in place of Ferguson, the arrest of Jackie Chans son is trending 1st place. You dont even see #Ferguson until you click the dropdown option to See more but honestly, few people bother if its not top 3. Second: A conversation about the Ferguson situation with my mom pissed me off. She said something along the lines that #MichaelBrown must have done something to have been shot. Then she questioned whether I would side with the police or the black guy. Lastly: I am vehemently opposed to the remarks made by Sorbo and appalled at the support he is receiving. Id like to thank you if youve read this far. I hope the brief information Ive provided has enlightened you in some way, shape, or form. Instead of challenging you to dump ice cold water on yourself while California is stricken by drought, I WANT YOU to respond to another Ferguson post by writing or making a video. Please dont take my stance if you cant stand my guts. While you can breathe, express your opinions and engage in discussion. Open discourse will help us attain a better understanding on this silent plague. If youre too busy to respond, at the very least, please share this information on your networks. If you do post a response, give yourself a pat on the back and leave a link to your post in the comments section.
