In sharp contrast to assurance from our WHO Country - TopicsExpress

In sharp contrast to assurance from our WHO Country Representative, Dr Jacob Mufunda, who yesterday, Sunday July 13th 2014, told the world through the BBC that Sierra Leones Ebola cases were limited to only Kenema and Kailahun, the latest official facts indicate an additional 14 new cases recorded for Saturday 12th July 2014 from a geographical range spanning 8 from Kailahun, 3 from Kenema; 1 from Bo; 1 from Port Loko and 1 from Western Area. There is some good news as in the preceding 24 hours from Friday 11th July 2014, the number of discharged cases has increased by 2 (two) but there is also sad news as the number of laboratory confirmed Ebola deaths at government health facilities rose by 6 (six). The total number of laboratory confirmed Ebola cases is now 339 whilst the total number of deaths is 106. This number of deaths does not include many other deaths from Ebola symptoms in many villages and towns. We now await the official report for Sunday 13th July 2014 which will be reported on later today as Ebola Update July 14, 2014 from our Ministry of Health and Sanitation. May God Almighty free our land of this catastrophe and may TRUTH reign over LIES. Afterall, when it comes to the LIVES of the citizens of Sierra Leone, nothing should be more sacred than the truth, the truth and nothing but the truth. So help me God.
