In some ten days time Procol Harum will play a sell out concert with Orchestra in choir in The Dominion, Tottenham Court Road a few yards away from Tin Pan Alley, Denmark St - the street of the music and the birthplace of UK rock n roll. While most A list rock stars have ignored our petitions to Save It a vocal legend came to our aid. Engelbert Humperdinck spent some 2 and a half hours with us yesterday doing TV to raise awareness. As you concert goers exit the Tube Station you will see the god awful redevelopments all around you in the wake of Crossrail - an overpriced and unnecessary rail link station.Take time to stop and think and sign our petition to Save Tin Pan Alley - the birthplace of British popular music - before it is lost to high rent, vast rate-taxes, and inevitable demolition when the shops leave for good. The 2,100 concert goers should help us. I am asking Procol Harum to do a small band gig in aid of this great cause, here, now. If Engelbert can help, so should Procol.
