In sports news and the English Premier League, Former Chelsea captain, Frank Lampard could face his former club in September under a loan deal from his new Major League Soccer team to Manchester City. The New York Daily News reported that Lampard, who signed a two-year deal last week with New York City FC, will be loaned to Manchester City for six months by the US expansion team. New York City will play its first MLS season next March. According to the New York Daily, the 36-year-old England midfielder hopes to keep his name in the mix for national team duty with the move. Manchester City and Major League Baseballs New York Yankees partnered to create the new MLS team and have also signed Spanish star David Villa for the squad.
