In support of UKIP supporters I offer this post by Nigel Simmons - TopicsExpress

In support of UKIP supporters I offer this post by Nigel Simmons for your rumination. There is a lot of interesting stuff and I believe in listening to (reading) all parties views - you never know if you might learn something too. And, since Nigel posted this publically I also feel that he will be pleased that I am sharing it. I will, however, include my commnet first: Well I gave it my time. Unfortunately it doesnt quite stand up. What has happened here is that Nigel Simmons has a lot of information and insight and much of what he says is valid. There is a terrible situation emerging and something needs to be done. But the conclusion lacks the same rigour. More than that he actually pulls a Blair on the reader. Blair stated, before he was elected into government, that because he was right and had to get into power he would say whatever he had to say in order to achieve power. It is arrogance at its worst even to the point of being delusional. Nigel Simmons is suggesting that because these views attributed to Farage would be not be creditable that he has to lie (or be so very economical with the truth as to never mention the hidden agenda) in order to get into power to enact his benign master plan. Now I have a theory about what is wrong with lying but basically it always leads to trouble. If what Nigel Simmons claims were true then unfortunately Nigel Farage has to come out with the truth. Otherwise any politician could be advocated on the grounds of what any individual happens to think they think in spite of what they say. My recollection is that this idea of saying whatever you had to was Hitlers philosophy as well. No, Nigel Simmons, it does not make sense to vote for a liar because he dare not speak the truth. It sounds to me as if your heart and soul are desperate to be in the right place but you are suffering something akin to an intellectual panic attack.
