In the August 7 election 20.22% of registered voters voted. Statistically this means that 10.12% of registered voters could elect office holders and pass amendments that could take away rights for some people and affect every part of your lives, including our schools and our children. In the May 6 election 9.3% of the voters voted and elected 23 of 24 County Commissioners. One County Commissioner was elected receiving 246 votes. Democracy works better if everybody votes. Early voting today from 8 to 6, followed by a school board meeting at 6:30.
