~~~In the Clouds~~~ I wrote this song, In the Clouds in less than 20 minutes. I truly dont know where or how the story came to me, but it just did. Two years after Id wriiten this, Id gone to a funeral of a friends friend...just to support my friend. She was 36yrs old and died from cancer. I never knew her at all. But as people were speaking about her at her funeral, I felt the need to get up at the end and recite this song for her husband and her little boy. This song came full circle. As Sandra Maria Laird (a wonderful writer) told me once, I held the pen that wrote this song but I swear it wasnt me. This song is being played at a wedding where the mother of the bride passed away 10 years ago. But when the father played it, it really hit home for him.
