In the English language, it is obvious that “to believe” is talking about “beliefs”. This is because “belief” is the noun for the verb “believe”. Here, we can see that “faith” is clearly not the same in meaning as “beliefs”. Yet, in English, we often speak of “to believe” when we are talking about faith! Obviously, this presents a problem. We can see that many will be confused because it is not clear if we are talking about beliefs, believing, or faith. Are there significant differences? Is to believe the same as faith?
