In the Good Samaritan story, a man gets beaten, robbed and left half dead by thieves who even took his clothes. A priest and a Levite were trained to stay away from uncleanness and remain seperate. Both passages claimed they saw him and passed by...irony is Christians all over the world are eerily similar to them. They claim to be on fire claim to want just Jesus claim to be in revival can quote scripture after scripture, even worship and rock out to the latest of music for hours. But the proof someone is awakened is knowing what that Jesus they claim to have a relationship with wants and expects of us. The Good Samaritan sees the same man in the same condition and even though he is wealthy and busy with his life, stops and helps, heals his wounds, sees him to the hotel, and pays the bill. This is the Awakening of our generation. The question is after being in church for years...are your eyes truly open? MLK said that we would have to repent not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of bad people but for the appalling silence of good people. TZ
