In the Matrix movies it portrayed people who were still alive physically but plugged into an illusion of reality and kept alive with automated feeding and biological processes. They were just fleshy husks laying in storage as energy sources and their souls, spirits, consciousness were trapped in a government created virtual construct. Something so real that to deny its veracity and actuality seemed ludicrous. Steaks tasted like steaks and when you died you stayed dead. I propose you are in that same circumstance now. So far removed from reality that it may be impossible for many to return. Just 1984 style reprogrammed vessels with little humanity left. No ability to think critically or question authority. Incapable of doing so like someone had made you that way. I can see how this would apply. Three Laws of Robotics A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot may not injure its own kind and defend its own kind unless it is interfering with the first or second rule.
