In the festive spirit, and because we have had such an amazing year, we thought it would be nice to share with our friends and supporters some of our achievements from 2014. • The Children’s Library has been redecorated and refurbished. • We purchased new tables and chairs for our public PC’s. 3 Chromebases have arrived so far and we anticipate the arrival of 3 Dell PC’s shortly – these will have a full office package available for customer use! • Unveiled our beautiful ‘Lutyens’ garden bench, in memory of our friend and benefactor Judith Hellary. • Contributed to the removal, repair and painting of the garden pergola. • Installed roller blinds in the Children’s Library and staff office. • Ran several successful Children’s activities in the summer holidays – including loom bands! • Worked overnight to install a new purpose built Library counter. • Funded the purchase of new screens and keyboards for staff use. • Worked with Bungay camera Club to produce some local greetings cards • Attended Bungay means Business • Held fundraising events including book sales, the book mountain, Mayors raffle, Partylite candles, Imogen Sheeran, a quilt exhibition and an evening Luke Wright. The sale of greetings cards and local crafters items has also continued to provide a steady source of income. • Invited Bungay Primary and St Edmunds reception classes in for a visit and stories. • Used local painters to redecorate the entire Library space, installing specialist window filming on the mezzanine floor and having the carpets cleaned.
