In the house for something to eat and another pot of coffee- - TopicsExpress

In the house for something to eat and another pot of coffee- UPDATE- the filly is thriving, very active running around with minimal falls- shes got some weak tendons on the back, vet said lets wait a few days and see if she gains the strength in them before we splint-as of right now it appears she may have a hernia. Nursing wonderfully and bodily functions are really good. The colt on the other hand is still having some issues standing and steadying himself on the first try - hes slower to latch on but has good such reflex so that is promising. He also has weak tendons and is smaller than his sister. He managed a few trot steps before he tangled up in himself and fell over. His head is a little miss shaped but its possible he will grow into it as he grows and changes. He did have a enema but hes still straining alot and will fall over when he gets tired. I have not seen him pee but the barn had several wet spots. I had a bad headache and had to lay down for a couple hours so i did miss that time. We are by no means out of the woods but so far both are alive. Star looks rough, shes eating and drinking wonderfully, lots of belly noise and functions are good- she tends to be more vocal at the filly and follows her more but goes back and forth to check on the colt. I will gladly keep updates the best I can but be ready for the truth of what happens, twins arent something a breeder or mare owner wants - its not all rainbow and butterflies and there is still a chance it can all go bad BUT all the prayers are greatly appreciated!
