In the how-to haircolor video I posted today, I received a question from a fan on Youtube wanting to know what kind of haircut was used on the mannequin head. If you are wondering too... read my notes here on how I created the haircut. The hair is cut straight across in the back. Dry cut all the fringe & layers, with the side fringes cut at a 45 degree angle that points to the chin. The front fringe length is at the left jaw and angles down longer into the right side fringe. Layers are created by over directing using a center pivot in the upper crown, soften layers & fringe by chipping at the length & slicing deep into the ends. Cross check layers with elevation, diagonally/parallel to side hairline, by chipping & slicing.
