The Dundry stone found in the columns and some other structures in St Audoens came from the Dundry quarries located south of the River Avon, near Bristol. Dundry stone was also used in Christ Church and St Patricks Cathedral. St Audoens location beside the river meant it was relatively easy to import the stone for use at St Audoens. Granite quarried in Dublin and Wicklow was used for the first time in St Audoens in the 14th century.
