In this picture this innocent dog is alive. I DO NOT recommend you watch the end of the video. The officer shot the dog AFTER he had it trapped on the catch pole. He held the catch pole with one hand, then shot the dog with the other. The dog was standing still when he shot it. The officer shot the dog once. The dog collapsed to the ground; but was still alive. The dog started wagging his tail (which can be a sign of nervousness) while he was on the ground otherwise, not moving. The officer shot the dog again and killed him. I dont know the reason for the police being there in the first place. It looked like the owner had maybe chained the dog to the back of the truck. Yes the dog was CHAINED up at least during part of the process of trying to contain him. The looping was out of camera view. I dont know if the dog was still chained up when the loop was placed over the its head. I assume the police were called because the dog was in the street even though it was chained up. The dog showed no signs of aggression from what I could see while it was standing chained to the truck. Please share to let cops know that this was NOT okay.
