In two days time, the 2nd Congressional Athletic Meet, called VARDSSAA for secondary and VARDEAA for elementary, will kick off right here at the newly improved Ballesteros Sports Complex. Six Units battle it out for sports supremacy in the secondary level, while 14 teams will fight it out in the elementary level. The six competing units in the secondary level are: 1. Unit I - Rizal, Piat and Sto. Nino 2. Unit II - Lasam 3. Unit III - Allacapan 4. Unit IV - Ballesteros and Abulug 5. Unit V - Pamplona and Sanchez Mira 6. Unit VI - Claveria and Sta. Praxedes. In the elementary level, each municipality including Calayan stands as a single team except Lasam and Allacapan which will have two teams each. Sta. Praxedes and Claveria West will comprise a team. Who will reign supreme? Watch out on October 28 - 31. Everyone is invited to come and watch.
