In typical holiday fashion, one of our vendors decided to send us a “gift” basket which was filled with a variety of “gourmet foods.” I must confess: these foods were not gourmet, and the only gift I think they were trying to give us was metabolic syndrome. All of the meats contained artificial flavors and added sugar. All of the cheeses contained artificial flavors and added sugar. And then there was the 5 pounds of candy and chocolate, because hey, I don’t think there’s enough sugar in there! Dear vendors, STOP IT.
