In war one of the most effective strategy to Delay the arrival and onslaught of an advancing enemy is to deny them access to roads, bridges, seaports and airports. Well Typhoon Yolanda did exactly the same thing. She isolated Tacloban and rendered the city inaccessible for many days. So many utility poles and power lines were down, thousands of big trees were toppled and uprooted and debris of damage houses scattered and blocked highways, bridges and roads as far as your eyes can see. The airport was full of debris and the seaport was was littered with sunken and damage vessel all these factors hampered the speed of the relief efforts causing Delays in the arrival and distributions of goods to the victims. Imagine for close to 24 hours Tacloban was incommunicado with the outside world. After the Typhoon even the GMA news crew endured 6 hours of walking from Tacloban to Palo in order to reach their satellite transmission van in the area so they can feed and upload their footage to the news center in Manila. Not even a motorcycle could not navigate the debri laden road and bridges connecting Tacloban to the different towns of Leyte......now the sad part everyone is blaming government for the Delay......well i just hope this bad pr campaign against the government is not the signature handy work of those paid media hacks and spin masters funded by those accused in the the billion peso PDAF scam and those wanting to run in the 2016 election.......for the moment please let us set aside politics as a sign of our respect for the thousands of our countrymen who are suffering and who have lost homes and love ones due to Typhoon Yolanda
