In watching Jeff McCloy now - they have opened the breakout room - TopicsExpress

In watching Jeff McCloy now - they have opened the breakout room upstairs and were watching the video feed. When asked if he was a property developer, he just said I, Jeff McCloy, am not a property developer. He wants to distinguish between a property developer as a property developer per se and one for the purposes of the Local Government Act. When asked if he could have accidentally paid for a Mr Robinsons council election expenses he didnt know and couldnt recall whether he had or not. Lots of I cant recalls, and I cant remember - it was four years agos. His lawyer has produced a file of goodwill stories about him MAINLY FROM THE NEWCASTLE HERALD, that have been distributed to the waiting media over lunch. In it there is a poem about Mother Teresa. It will probably be exhibit Z29 as Geoffrey Watson just said hed like it tendered. This guy is basically denying personal responsibility for just about everything if he can remember it. Quote of the day what have I got in my wallet now? $1800, $2400 who knows? He has been rehearsing some answers, e.g. a councillor or state politician has very little influence over a property developer... That took some time and he performed it twice. McCloy: I want a better system of government for this state Watson: You want a system of government in Newcastle that lines the pockets of Jeff McCloy dont you? What a sham, but hes certainly not going to be resigning, hes going to need a push. Jane Goldsmith told me he was probably going to resign, but hed really want to have his say before he does. He sure can rabbit on, and gets a bit sing-songy at times. Anyone sticking up for this guy has been taken for a ride. Its all me, me, me. He might allege its good for Newcastle, but if you actually had a look, if it was good, itd only be a fluke, and a matter of argument. Hes just claimed he donated $100,000 to the ALP in 2007. No evidence was given, does anyone know? Wow, Ill have to pull out quotes from the transcript, theyll be a scream. He just said North Sydney looked like Beirut (in context of his graffiti scheme). Better post, no charge left :-)
