In yesterdays Mabini @150 symposium at the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, I was shocked to learn from the resource speaker Ka Floro ( Floro Quibuyen ) that even knowing that there was already a danger of losing the war against the Philippine colonisers, our revolutionaries (some of them we now consider as heroes) ignored the threat and still went on their merry way party-ing in Tarlac. (Sadly, the revolutionaries party was held in my home province.) I thought an article which we wrote some years ago - IN PURSUIT OF AN IDEAL COMMUNITY - is worth a second look. Todays Philippine Community should heed the warning in Ka Floros revelation!
