Income tax receipts printed. Forgot about donating to the Calgary - TopicsExpress

Income tax receipts printed. Forgot about donating to the Calgary flood and a couple of others. Critical literacy time. Most, if not all, of the fundraising web sites that people set up on take a percentage. Not the non-profit sites who have their own systems, but the crowd sharing sites like Razoo, etc. Also, most of them seem to be Amercian based so Im curious to see if those receipts are accepted. In the future, Ill inbox the person fundraising and email them a donation when its a cause I want to support. Some of the sites take as much as 8% just for hosting a fundraising page. I also dont donate to corporations who are fundraising, even when its a good cause. Id rather write my check to the Janeway, for example, than let Walmart get the tax break. Its great that they do these things and it raises a lot of money but it doesnt take long to spend $100 on these promotions that you could be claiming on your taxes. And no, no, the taxes are not done. yes, yes, Im avoiding again but the paperwork all seems to be printed!
