Increasing railway fare was MUST and unavoidable. The fuel prices have been rising, and so are salaries in railways. And money is needed for expansion. So fares can only increase --- they can neither go down nor stay same. . It is sad that other things to benefit the poor are not happening, namely DDMRCAM, removal of VAT, service tax, excise and instead use wealth tax, jury system etc. And thats because parties such Congress = BJP = AAP are all opposing DDMRCAM, removal of VAT, service tax, excise and instead use wealth tax, jury system etc. And activists keep following them like andh-bhagats. . Now in order to suppress the FACT that AAP = AK is opposing DDMRCAM to reduce poverty, AAP = AK are beating drums of increase in railway fares,. Well, the fact AAP = AK = NaMo = BJP = Congress oppose DDMRCAM should be sufficient proof that none of these 6 entities give a damn whether poor live or hey die. Rahul Chimanbhai Mehta
