Independence Day We celebrate American Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year. July 4, 1776 is the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America. The City of Des Plaines manages every year 4th of July parade, and over a hundred floats march in the parade. ICCD is a part of City and as an American, we have been a part of the parade for the last ten years. ICCD every year gives hundred of English Quran to the spectators on the both sides of the street. We also give candies to kids as well. People shout Assalaamu Alaykum as they see us. This year 4th of July comes in the month of Ramadan everyones fasting including the children. It was a hot day, and a 3 miles walk with the float. Alhamdulillah we did it.
