Indian Army have advertised 90 vacancies of engineering trainees for grant of permanent commission in the army after completion of 4 year duration engineering course at the army engineering institutes. The details are available on joinindianarmy.nic.in and have also been published in the Employment News weekly magazine in its edition of 18-24 October 2014, available at all book stalls in all towns and cities. The trainees successful in gaining admittance to the course are assured of a glorious career in the engineering cadres of the Indian army, and to reach the rank of a colonel or a brigadier would be a normal and reasonable expectation. Indian army have the highest levels of benchmarking standards in recruitment to their officer cadre and very transparently follow the policy of prefering to keep the vacancy, rather than dilute the standards of leadership expected of commissioned officers. The aspirants to these posts would be required to attend a 5 day long interview process at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad in February or March 2015. They will undergo a very comprehensive personality assessment and leadership skills test.This is a tough examination and the recruitment boards would be very thorough in making the trainee of undergo a comprehensive battery of different kinds of psychometric and other tests to check their communicative abilities and their general awareness levels.
