Indian Express dated .5.010.13 carries an interesting news item on page 1 heading"Breast feeding? Sorry, Kerala Moms are too Busy." It states that the unhealthy practice of complementary feeding before 6 six months of age was equally high in KERALA(51.2%).GUJRAT had the lowest recording at 1% The study conducted by National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau also reports:the babies in the state 32.1% under the age group of 1-3 years had inadequate quantity of Protein and other nutrients in their diet.On this front infants in T.N., Karnataka A.P Maharashtra GUJRAT ,M.P. Orissa ,W.B. and U.P. were on a better plank. I am sure our politicians will find fault for this also as Gujrat Riots . Interesting i remember our C.M. has attributed lack of food for the tragedy of Adivasis of Attapadi. For this what is his considered opinion?
