Indigenous Sports Council Alberta is seeking new board members from each of the appointing organizations: Confederacy of Treaty 6 First Nations, Treaty 7 Management Corporation, Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta, Metis Settlements General Council, Metis Nation Council, and Alberta Native Friendship Centres. The board appointments for the 2009-2014 term of the ISCA have expired according to Section 8 of the By-Laws for the organization. Board Membership shall be for a three (3) year term. Once appointments have been made, there will be a facilitated orientation of ISCA roles and responsibilities of the By-laws Governing Procedure and Business. All expenses for meetings of the ISCA appointed Board members is the responsibility of the said organization, including travel, meals, accommodations (if needed), etc. If interested, please contact one of the six organizations listed above as well as the ISCA office with a current resume and letter of intent before October 1, 2014.
