Industry Visit “Dawn News paper” | Arena Shahra-e-Faisal Arena Multimedia Shahra-e-Faisal Branch visited “Dawn News Papers” on Thursday 6th March 2014. Arena Multimedia Shahra-e-Faisal arranged an industry visit of its students to Dawn Group of newspapers on 6th March, 2014 along with the Placement Executive Mr. Khurram Qasmi. The students were first guided through the scanning department where a very large scanning machine is installed which has the capability to scan images and text up to 3600 dpi. Then the students were taken to the department providing them the detailed information of various software’s used by the company. They were also shown the printing process & cutting dept. Another interesting department that the students visited was the CPT Department (Computer to Plate) Department. Very latest equipment has been installed in the CPT Section which can create the plates for printing within 10 minutes. This machine is only available at the Dawn Newspapers, The visit was particularly planned to enable the students to know the practical implication of their course more properly. Arena Multimedia is especially grateful to Mr. Jawed (Printing Supervisor), Mr. Ramzan Ali (circulation department) for their assistance and motivational support to the students & they gathered valuable information about Printing Industry.
