Inflation is not an economic phenomenon. It is something that happens when you do not get as much the value for what you invest as you did a few years back. For example the same amount of hard work and dedication towards your family does not beget the same amount of respect and love and support as it did several years ago. The same amount of flattery does not get the same amount of raises and promotions in your job as it did, in say 1990, the same amount of prayers do not get you the same degree of blessings as it did a few years back, a 5000 Rupee fee does not get your son the same amount of knowledge in Physics or Chemistry, as a 40 Rupee fee got for you in 1982, the same marks in Class 12 does not get you a as desirable a degree in 2014 as in 1982 and so on. I mean one needs to invest more as days pass, in terms of emotions, efforts, dedication, money, intellect and work to get something done. It is a principle akin to that of entropy which always increases.
