We all believe that under Mothers Presidency, Zimbabwe will become a better place and begin taking its rightful place among other nations. We all believe Mother will bring jobs and lead our youth to a place of productivity; eliminating the vending culture. We believe Mother will bring rains and bountiful harvests to our nation. We believe mother will develop towns and cities and provide electricity for all. These things we believe without being forced. These things we believe even if Mother has not said a word to reinforce our thoughts. These things we believe because we know the character of this woman we call Mother. We know her shortfalls and strengths. It is for this reason that we are gathering here and talking up a storm about Mother. But we also know it is not an easy journey that Mother has chosen. We are in a country where people whisper when discussing politics. Where small boys petitioning the President are beaten day in day out. We ourselves are cowards who will run if the regime turns up the heat. We will hide if they send troops into our neighbourhoods. We will scream names and lists of anyone we can think of to save our sorry skins. Yet we think nothing of what we are asking Mother to do.
